美容液 (Biyō-eki) – Essence
Serums contain most of the active beauty ingredients of the 5 step routine. They are made up of small molecules that deeply penetrate the skin. It also targets fine lines, dark spots and dullness.
Apply as fourth step after double cleansing and lotion.
Essence is a lighter version of a serum. It can be used in between applying lotion and serum to soften up your skin or as substitute for the serum.
